Steve Gido is one of the A/E industry’s leading M&A advisors. For over twenty years, he has served as trusted counsel to founders, owners, executives and boards of directors in pursuing both growth and exit strategy options. Over the course of his career, he has advised on a wide number of A/E transactions, representing both buyers and sellers of all sizes and disciplines.
Steve has been interviewed and cited on M&A activity for digital periodicals including Engineering News Record, Environmental Business Journal, Fast Company, The Deal, The MiddleMarket.com, Consulting-Specifying Engineer, Architectural Record and Architect Magazine. In addition, he has led and spoken at dozens of A/E and environmental industry seminars, webinars and conferences on M&A activity, trends and tactics.
Prior to forming Rusk O’Brien Gido + Partners, Steve led the M&A practice at ZweigWhite. Before that, Steve was an investment banking professional with Deutsche Bank in McLean, Virginia, where he was responsible for capital raising, restructuring, and M&A assignments for companies in the mid-Atlantic region. He also worked in M&A and syndicated finance for Chase Securities in New York, structuring and executing numerous debt financing and advisory transactions across a variety of industries. In addition, Steve was a financial analyst and contract surety bond underwriter with USF&G in Baltimore, where he analyzed performance and payment guarantees for multinational contractors and construction services companies.
Steve received a BS in Finance from Penn State University and an MBA from the Cornell University Johnson Graduate School of Management. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
Steve resides in Arlington, Virginia with his wife and daughter.
